Class IX Date sheet

Datesheet for Class IX

Every school may design its own date sheet for Class-IX examination.

The schools should conduct the examination in all subjects for Class IX using the question papers received from CBSE between last week of February to last week of March 2010.

The question papers for Class-IX have been designed by the Board and are being sent to schools with the purpose of maintaining uniformity and standardization.

Evaluation of answer scripts will be done by the school teachers themselves.

Schools will give flexible timing to students for attempting the question papers. This may vary from 3 to 3½ hours.

the new pattern is very complicated to understand,we r confused how to write our paper…. & we all have to spend more time…….
    the board was better..
grading system is worst for toppers in a class & its a boon for the slow runners….but there will be no competition in the average studentd & the toppers…..!!!!do sumthing!!
    the no. suystem was better…..
we don’t need to opt what the “firangees” are doing….do something new & which would be easy to understand,do sumthing so that we, the students, will get some time for playing,to enjoy…….
    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    respected sir/madam,
i am a class 9 student from MVM,Jorhat in Assam.i’d like to inform the CBSE that the grading system they have introduced is really not acceptable, especially to the good students concerned about their percentages. how are we to feel when after all the effort, study n answering exams worth 94-95% we get an’A’similar to those who worked less? yes, MCQs n CCEs are good and the concept of project n assignments instead of written exams are not bad also. But there is just so little time left after all those.infact i still have 1 or 2 to do.i still think that the board could do us good by reintroducig %-system.But if they HAD to introduce new format it could have waited just 6 months more instead of just infringing a completely new system on us in mid-term.please pay heed to the condition we’re in..

  6. February 11th, 2010 at 12:16 | #6

I’m not against cce’s rules. But what the problem is that we are completely
bored with the progress. I’m waiting for my exam when it’ll held and then at last the time has came we are not getting our syllabus and datesheet of exam.our exam was to be in 20th November 2009 and till now it hasn’t held.

i totally disagree to all the people who have critisized this new format.
we have to learn the same things as earlier its just the papers are comin from board……the people thinking of sucide n stuff ,its just they want to escape the hard work…..and b’coz of them the good ones do not want to suffer.

  9. February 13th, 2010 at 06:48 | #9

ya…..i m not happy with the grade point system..the teachers are asking us to make projects and conduct speeches..n now in this last month we are having enough time to study..its very tough for us to manage all this..

is this a correct way to change all the format and syllabus in mid of section … this new format for class IX and X is just a waste…….all the projects for our assesment is nothing bt jst a waste of time…..from now onwards there will b MCQ’s in every subject …. and earlier the science was really easy.bt these bloody____ mcq’s had made them tougher than ever…. not even u ppl tell us any book to follow for these mcq’s….and wt abt d sample papers ….. there are just 15 days are left for exams and sample papers are given to us at last moment of time……have u ever thought wt type of pressure has u ppl created on toppers and weak students……

i just want to ask that is it necessary to change the education system at the last moment of the session. its not at all good as we,specially i am not satishfied with the change and this is not giving us very less time to study. its a very absurd we are not able to understand anything and the report card that we will be getting is so large. now a days there is no value of study only sing, play, draw, and do all those things which is not at all necessary and useless. KYA PADAI KO MAZAK BANA DIYA HAIN? yeh un logo ke liye to thik hain jo thik thak padai karte hain aur zyada khel-kud karte hain but what about those who are not able to do these and that’s why pay all his/her attention to studies in order to survive in school and among all fellow students who will be excelling in other things except studies. you have made our life heaven. i personallythink taht it is a bad system of education. this way india will loose human resources. aur ab jo average students the un logo ko job mil jayega on basis of good grades but jo students sirf studies main hi ache the un logo ko jb doondne main pareshani hogi isse anewali generation padai nahi karegi aur unhe sikhne ko bhi kuchnahi milega. TO is naye system se sirf aur sirf nuksan hi hone wala hain fayeda kuch bhi nahi hain. par pata nahi kya ek 14 yrs ki ladki ki bat dhyan main rakhi jayegi? kya pata?

AT LAST I JUST WANT TO KNOW THAT WHEN WE WILL BE GETTING OUR DATE SHEET FOR 2ND SEMESTER. PLEASE BE QUICK AS THE STUDIES ARE NOW HAS BECOME VERY HARD.

    1. No, Although the question papers were being set by CBSE, each school would have a different set.
    2. No, It will be conducted as before in your school

I think new pattern will prove a good change in education.

  20. February 18th, 2010 at 06:04 | #20

i like the grading system because it gives time to complete whole paper in time because of m.c.q.as previously only theory was there and some students were not able to complete the exam, but now it is easy and we use to complete the paper usually half an hour before the time.ya it increases the compitition too.and our papers are going out of school for correction and it is good because no scope for partiality will be there.as some of the teachers are very partial in my school.but the date sheet provided is horriable and i dont know what the sence they have and prepared the date sheet.for english we have holiday of 4 days and for science only one day.

i would like the education officer if reads this pls help us !!!!!!!!

    the cce system is actually:
    C-confused
    C-complicated
    E-evaluation
even now when i am startd wid my practicals i hv to cmplte my projects, do assignments, complete my notebuks. dere’s no tym left for studies…
instead of reducing burden, they hv increased it… huh :((

    February 19th, 2010 at 10:48 | #25

actually it is a extra bardon for students before cce was not their students can study for exam in feb also but now they all are doing projects, presentations etc it is a tension ..befor it in board no one knows that this student is not behave well in class because it does not matter but now it all matter a lot …why only we can’t they start it next year..the teacher says learn all if not than i will cut ur marks….through this if a teacher didn’t like a student so he/she will give less mark to him/her

  26. February 19th, 2010 at 14:32 | #26

M satisfied wid d rules of CCE. but we dont have the proper knowledge about the format of the exams.

    February 20th, 2010 at 04:02 | #27

Enough is enough! will we do projects all day long? Wat abt studies? No time to study. All teachers give pressure saying that if projects not done nicely, then marks will be deducted. Then drama, samvad, news reading, and etc. etc.else every day CCE the hell of a thing. Even if the student falls ill, then they are losing marks.Really Wat a system of study???? Also at the last moment, we came to know that our ques. papers are going to come from board.Instead of reducing burden, they are increasing the burden. Moreover, everything has become optional, the board exams, the aptitude tests,etc.etc. Next they’ll say Ur studying is optional. What to do????? Help or else their will be more no. of suicides according to my opinion.

  28. February 20th, 2010 at 08:45 | #28

Yes, i m agree with Mr. sibbal the decisions he is taking are not bad but he has to look for the student’s choice. As they are agree with this new pattern or not. In my opinion instead of sitting 2hrs. meeting with board he need to spent some time with children so as to understand what we want.

    February 20th, 2010 at 09:50 | #29

actually, the new pattern is good but y shud v get our ques papers from the board…..then it wont be anything less than boards…..and why do we have to be marked according to CCE…..our session has almost came to an end……and instead of reducing pressure it has put more pressure on the students and……………………………..

FOR TORCHERING THE students of 9 class by setting the time table and giving to children within 5 days and starting exams from 22 feb.2010.and time table is not propotionate with the subjects inspite of so many request made by the students. what is the use of HRD minister saying to low down the burden of the students.according to CBSE 9 class exam should start from last week of feb. but the principal name sister Deena is not following the instructions.english MCQ is taken separately WHY??kindly take ACTION as quick as possible.

students should have informed earlier . we are still not aware about when we will have our exams. this new pattern is creating fear amoung the students so this should not happen.

i think this pattern is good but not statisfactory because i am feeling

  36. February 23rd, 2010 at 10:25 | #36

I FEEL THAT THIS GRADING SYSTEM IS ALSO GOOD.THE PROCESS OF SITTING IN EXAM HALL AND WRITING 3 HRS PAPER CANT BE USED TO JUDGE A PERSONS ATTITUDE,CREATIVITY AND EVEN CONFIDENCE IN DIIFERENT SECTORS LIKE SPEECHES. SO THIS TYPE OF PROJECTS, ASSIGNMENTS ARE NOT ONLY FOR MARKS BUT ALSO DEPICTS OUR CREATIVITY. A PERSON WHO CANT SCORE IN SCI MAY BE ABLE TO GET BETTER GRADES BCOZ HE MIGHT BE MORE CREATIVE IN PROJECTS. SPEECHES OR GROUP DISCUSSIONS SHOW HOW MUCH CONFIDENTLY A CHILD IS ABLE TO SPEAK IN FRONT OF A CROWD. THIS HELPS IN DEVELOPIING CONFIDENCE AND OFCOURSE THEIR ARE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS ALSO.MANY PPL SAYS THAT THEIR WILL BE NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 89% AND 81% ACHIEVERS BUT DATS OK AFTER ALL ITS ALL ABOUT REDUCING PRESSURE. MANY PPL DONT LIKE THIS/…. THE MAIN REASON I FEEL OF THEIR DISLIKE IS JST IT IS IMPOSED IN MID TERM. SO WE HAD TO GIVE EVN MORE EXAMS AND PREPARATIONS HAD VERY LESS TIME BUT DATS NOT A BIG DEAL. ATLEAST THEY HAD AN EXPERIENCE OF IT AND MY EXPERIENCE WAS SUPERB. AND THOSE WHO FEEL LACK OF TIME IS THEIR PROBLEM AS THEY HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO MANAGE TIME. AND THERE ARE STUDENTS WHO CANT EXPRESS THEIR VIEWS IN WRITING. FOR THEM AN ALTERNATE OPTION IS OPEN AND FOR OTHERS 100 MARKS WRITTEN PAPER IS STILL THERE . YES IT WEILL COMER FROM BOARD SO TO MAINTAIN A UNIFOMITY. THATS IT. WHATEVER I REALLY LIKE THIS SYSTEM

  37. sanya
    February 23rd, 2010 at 11:44 | #37

this is not fair. in the mid term sudden change is not good. especially question paper coming from outside is increasing our burden .the project on every subject is really stressful.they have just given more pressure

i think that it’s goood for students as it will give all the students a chance to show everything they know in class and remove hezitation from every student and will them frank
    but
i think that it should have been applied from the starting of new session at the end of the class we are haveing so much burden
we have to prepare for exams for practicles for class extra activities for speaking and also have to spent some time on writing story and poem
